For over 17 years, Rebecca Brightwell has been representing clients in complex litigation matters with a focus on oil and gas law, environmental, estates and probate, and business and partnership disputes. With her knowledge and experience in the many segments of the energy and natural resource industry, she has assisted clients with transactional matters concerning land use, pipeline condemnations, oil and gas leases, working interest ownership, royalty disputes, and mineral sales. She has experience with regulatory matters involving the Texas Railroad Commission and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, and other governmental agencies concerning water use, oil and gas development, including the permitting of wells, salt water disposal wells, and injection facilities.

Another aspect of Rebecca's practice is mergers and acquisitions. She advises in estate and probate matters including preparation of wills, trusts, business entity formation, and litigation concerning contested probates. She assists clients with divorces, child custody matters, adoption, and other disputes concerning the enforcement of orders in family law matters. Rebecca appears in state and federal court matters in Texas. Whether litigating in the courtroom or advising in the boardroom, experience matters.

Rebecca is married to Sam Brightwell and has two children, Savannah and Sawyer. She is a board member for the oil and gas section of the Episcopal Diocese Foundation of Texas.
